End User Computing Engineer (Macedonia Based)

Job Description

This role requires a mature, resourceful and dependable person ready to work on own initiative to better Idox Health’s overall ICT stance. The infrastructure engineer may work on site or remotely by phone, email or using remote control applications to achieve a particular task. This is due to the geographic reach of the company and its customers.

 

This work entails offering highly specialized technical infrastructure support services to ’s internal and external clients. In most cases this would require one to work against pre-defined support levels. Due to the nature of the role certain work may require being on call and doing shift work, including weekends.

 

This role will be based at the Idox Health Macedonian office, but one may have to visit other sites overseas. The role is full time.


Responsibilities

  • Design, setup and support of business critical ICT components such as:


    • Windows DesktopsVirtual Desktop Environments;
    • Laptops;
    • Mobile Phones;
    • Communication tools such as VoIP;
    • Other infrastructure components such as Firewalls, Routers, Servers and so on.


  • Dealing with internal and external clients on support related issues;
  • Fault rectification in a timely manner;
  • Installation of new equipment and upgrading of existing systems;
  • Recording of problems and their solutions for future reference in an appropriate knowledge base;
  • Training internal clients on new systems or software applications;
  • Enforce all support related policies as authorized by the company Infrastructure Manager;
  • Ensure that all company equipment is operable at all times during the week between Mondays to Friday at 8.30am to 5pm.


Skills

  • Certified Microsoft Systems Administrator or Equivalent;
  • Good knowledge of operating Systems such as Microsoft Windows, Centos, Redhat and Ubuntu Linux, Apple OSX;
  • Knowledge of network principals such as TCP/IP, Routing, Firewalls and wireless technologies including bluetooth would be highly beneficial;
  • Clear methodical thinker able to work under pressure;
  • A strong footing in both wireless and wired IT network design;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • The ability to work in a small team and/or on personal initiative.
