Managing Director - Ivan Bartolo

Ivan Bartolo

Ivan Bartolo has been involved in the IT industry since 1985. In 2000 he set up 6PM, an IT Health Solutions Provider employing over 160 technology consultants in Malta, the UK and Macedonia.

With over 30 years of experience, Ivan has developed into a business leader that appreciates the value of academia and experience in industry.

Ivan has successfully listed 6PM on the Malta Stock Exchange in 2007. This was followed by a successful Rights Issue in 2011 and a Bond Issue in 2015. In his CEO role within 6PM, Ivan has transformed 6PM in to a leading IT Health Solutions Provider working with over 140 NHS Trusts in the United Kingdom. 

Ivan’s vision for Idox Health is all based on transformational thinking leading to increasing patient safety, improving patient outcome and reducing cost making health an affordable commodity in the 21st century.

Sales and Marketing Director – Steve Wightman

Steve Wightman graduated from the University of Lancashire with a BSc (Hons) degree in Business Information Technology. He started his career with Digital Equipment Corporation in 1990 as a technical consultant and in 1994 was awarded the honour of ‘UK Consultant of the Year’. Following a successful career with Digital, Steve then moved to CACI, an internationally renowned Systems Integrator. Having joined as a Senior Account Manager he then joined the UK board as the Sales Director during which time he transitioned the company into broader markets. In 2002 Steve was appointed as the Director for Document Management and Workflow. In 2005, Steve set up 6PM Management Consultancy Ltd and has since been instrumental in the sales growth for the Group.

Operations Director – Michel Macelli

Michel Macelli graduated from the University of Malta with a BA (Hons) degree in Accountancy. He started his career within the Audit profession working in Milan , Florence and Malta. In 1995 he joined Vodafone Malta Limited where he occupied the position of Chief Financial Officer till 2014. During this period Michel was responsible for the core finance activities and was also entrusted with a number of other critical areas including SCM, Business Intelligence, Property Management, Risk Management, Corporate Security and Business Continuity Management. Michel led various significant negotiations with government and regulatory authorities as well as with major business partners and suppliers. He also served as a member of the Board of Directors of this company.

Finance Director – Adrian Scicluna

Adrian Scicluna is an accountant and auditor by profession, as well as a Fellow of the Malta Institute of Accountants. In 2002 Adrian started working in the Audit and Business Advisory Services department at PwC (PricewaterhouseCoopers), reaching supervisory level. Between 2004 and 2005, Adrian was placed on secondment to the PwC New York office to work with a major healthcare provider in the USA. In 2006 he joined the industry as an accountant for Link School of Languages Ltd, handling all the financial matters of the company, and also tackling special assignments involving Euro changeover, formation of Sunlingua Co Ltd, and also taking care of a number of EU-funded projects. In 2011 Adrian was employed with 6PM Ltd, to complement the finance team. By the end of the same year Adrian was appointed Finance Director for the Group.

Technical Director - John Deguara

John Deguara graduated from the Metropolitan University of Manchester with a BSc in Chemistry in 1995 and then started his IT career as a Software Tester at Malta’s IT in-house agency, Management Systems Unit. These experiences lead to Test Management roles between 1997 and 2000 working as a consultant with Fujitsu Consulting (then known as DMR Consulting). During this period, John gained certifications and experience in; Project and Programme Management, Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) and Records Management. Between 2000 and 2010, John undertook diverse roles within Malta’s IT Agency, including; Service Call Centre Manager, Enterprise Architecture Manager and Programme Manager for Government’s e-Learning Programme. While undertaking this role John began reading for an MBA with the Heriot-Watt University of Edinburgh.

Business Development Director - Karen Cuschieri

Karen Cuschieri graduated from the University of Malta with a B.Sc. degree in Business and Computing in 1999 and started her career with one of the island’s leading ICT companies. She then moved on to form part of the IT Department team of a local company before joining 6PM in June 2004 in the role of a Developer, working with various customers in the UK.

Within 6PM, Karen held various roles over the years including Business Analyst, Team Leader and Project Manager.

During July 2013, Karen was appointed PMO Director, responsible mainly for project shaping activities across the 6PM Group and resource management. Karen also delivered Agile training, consultancy and mentoring to customers both in Malta and abroad.

In her role as Customer Delivery Director from June 2015 onwards, Karen focused on refining the company’s delivery capability in line with its products strategy, ensuring that customers derive the expected business benefits from 6PM’s products.

More recently, in March 2017, Karen assumed the role of Business Development Director, primarily responsible for the company’s product management team and business development initiatives.
